I discovered pretty early on in my growing-up years that my personality is an acquired taste. You know, blue cheese, caviar, truffles, the smell of fuel…Either you like it, or you literally feel like its an assault on your senses.

For many years, I tried to simmer down, don’t be funny, be more social, be less social, be taller, be shorter, be more outside, and also be more inside. As you can imagine, it didn’t take long for me to fall flat on my face.

Since then, I discovered it's way more work to play a part than to accept that you are who you are, so I started the very easy task of doing whatever I want. Living authentically, I mean 😆

I always felt this to be a great act of defiance, in a world that encourages sameness, a world that punishes uniqueness, your biggest act of defiance and love is just being yourself.

This year, I decided that I wanted to do this all outloud. And I started this newsletter. My subscribers could now fill a small comedy club. A poorly attended one, but it’s a start.

Which the internet would like you to think is a small number, but I don’t like being in rooms with more than 50 people, it’s a lot, so thats enough.

This was my gentle act of defiance and radical love. Being myself, publicly.

I hope that you find that place for yourselves!

Happy holidays!
